Happy Holidays from thefoulline.com

With Christmas right around the corner, I thought this would be a good time to ask Santa Clause to take special care of our favorite baseball team. I know that it may sound a little greedy since they are the World Series Champs, but they deserve it. So here it goes, the first annual thefoulline.com Christmas wish list.

  • Josh Beckett- 20 more wins, and a much deserved Cy Young award
  • Kevin Youkilis- a multi-year contract, and another Gold Glove
  • Dustin Pedroia- 3 inches and 20 pounds. Let’s start talking about what a great ball player he’s become, not his size.
  • Julio Lugo- A new At-Bat routine. The weird stare he did at the plate last year was a little scary looking.
  • Mike Lowell- Another season like 2007.
  • J.D. Drew- A continuation of the 2007 postseason, and at least one month of me not writing a post about how bad he sucks.
  • Jacoby Ellsbury- A return of the innocence. The Scott Boras signing and the pricey autographs have hurt your appeal. Please get it back. You’re the Red Sox Centerfielder for the next ten years.
  • Manny Ramirez-For Manny’s last year in Boston, a .330 batting average, 40 home runs and 135 RBI’s.
  • David Ortiz – He’s already led the AL in home runs and RBI’s. He’s the best clutch hitter in baseball…how about a batting title.
  • Dice K- 18 wins, and a sub 4.00 ERA
  • Curt Schilling- one Cy Young vote
  • Coco Crisp, Jon Lester, Jed Lowrie – a prosperous season in Minnesota.
  • Jason Varitek- 130 games behind the plate catching the best staff in baseball
  • Johan Santana- an undefeated record against the Yankees. (I really hope I’m not jinxing this)
  • Hideki Okajima- a return of the Oki- doke
  • Jonathan Papelbon- dance lessons, and a real toy for your dog
  • Terry Francona- recognition as the best manager in Red Sox history
  • Theo Epstein-the balls to pull off the Johan Santana trade. Please keep sticking it to the Yankees.
  • New York Yankees- a giant lump of coal. 22 guys on the Mitchell report? You guys don’t deserve anything.

I hope everyone has a healthy and happy holiday. And remember, Spring training is only 55 days away.

Merry Christmas everyone. First off, Love the list. Second off, got tickets for my mom’s birthday March 4th for the Pirates Sox at CityofPalms. Funny thing is, its what she wants. Hopefully we all can find women with this quality. Next, Im actually in Southern Mass right now, Snow on the ground and rain. How the holidays become the holidays, not a fan of Palm trees with christmas lights. I was listening to WEEI the other day and they had Mike Lowell on. He is doing a book with a local sportswriter about his life and story, the cancer, coming through it and all that. Should be out in May sometime. Also Johnny Pesky has a book out about the 2007 season. Its something like “A Diary of a Season” or something like that. It was great, there was more talk about the Sox than the rest combined. Pats are 15-0 like no one saw them beating the Dolphins today, it was more of a matter of them just playing the game for officiallity, than anything else.

BtW, I have a job with the Fort Myers Miracle for the Summer, I can get tickets and stuff for FT Myers area people for next to nothing if not nothing. Kind of a perk. Great family atmosphere. $1 draft nights. Good time. Keep it in mind.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS FOULLINERS!!!!!!

    M3,
Happy holidays! I hope you’re enjoying your time in Mass. Congrats on scoring Sox tix, I tried to get some but all they had left was Standing room only. Oh well, I’ll catch some of the 10 games they’ll play against the Rays in Tampa. As for the Pats, they looked pretty sloppy in the second half yesterday. I guess with a 28 point lead it’s hard to stay motivated. I’m looking forward to see how they finish up against the Giants next week. I’ll definitely make it down for some Miracle games next summer.. will you be wearing the mascot costume again?? Or have you been promoted? Please spread the word for us about thefoulline.com to all of New England. You’re our official Northeast Ambassador for Red Sox Nation South. Also, where has Christian been hiding? Do they have the internet yet in Maine?? Thanks as always for commenting.
    Take Care.

Christian decided to be a sleeze ball and probably has forgoten about everything and anyone he met in Florida. He left me in Florida after finals when he was my ride up to Boston. He sent me a picture of the Welcome to Virgina sign the day after he left without me. I had to get a ticket to come up because I already had one coming home. Yeah im a little bitter about that still.

And yeah Im going to be Missy fulltime now. Heard they are springing for a new suit this year, should be fun.

Also unless something is posted under my actual name its not me. I saw a Matt down the bottom, not me.

Missy huh? Um, ah, well, I wouldn’t name my first son, or any son, or anything male, or even something not living but somewhat masculine, missy, but hey, that’s cool. I can guarantee I’ll be at some miracle games this year, making missy’s night more interesting.

Pays the bills man. Plus, its all part of my grand scheme to move on to the top prize. The one and only, you love him and know him as Wally. Wally is a much better name. Missy is a female anyways, still pretty lame I prefered Azul anyday, better suit. But yeah, If I could do Wally for even One Game I would be a very happy camper.

Cy Young sounds good to me. Although, I’d be even happier if Daisuke won it : )
