This may sound very odd, but Pierce reminds me a little of Bird. Granted, he's not from French Lick, but his style is Bird-Esque. Nothing really comes to mind that is Pierce's strong point, other than he just finds a way too score. Kg as well has been fun to watch, just complete dedication to this team and too winning. Put the Sam Adams on Ice.....

If the Celts make it back to the finals, I'm going to dust off my Danny Ainge #44 jersey, and my short shorts from when I was 12 years old and temporarily jump back on the bandwagon.
I still think the NBA is a shell out what it was back in the day with Bird, Magic, Jordan, Isiah, Kareem, McHale, Dumars, etc. Too much dunking, not enough passing/defense.
But if a Boston team is in the finals...party at my place.
All the Sam Adams you can drink.

I have a ticket for sale to ride the Boston Celtics Bandwagon all the way to L.A. for this century's Celtics Lakers championship. I'd like to post something here about baseball, but for the moment. I'm wrapped up in the NBA playoffs like it's the early 90's again. Even if it's for a few months, the NBA is making a great comeback, and I'm in, any takers?????

I am thoroughly convinced that their is no way to predict these games. Look at the results so far...Chickenheads over LBC, My Best Efforts ahead of LTZ, Sarasota Red Rays kicking my butt. I think that the Fantasy Karma gods like to mess with us.

If I can stick with the old man until Friday, I think I have a shot.

Except when Howard goes off for 17 in a night. And Chris Young (thankfully not starting) takes a liner off the face. Who ever has Pujols should give him a steak dinner for singlehandedly destroying the worst team in baseball. Between Young and Bard, he took out the entire Starting Battery for the Pods.

I love when ESPN refers to the Umpire Fantasy League. I wish it really existed. The guy from the Mets Yanks game the other night would have Negative Pts.

btw, Man-U for the win.

Well, you could always be the Mets and choke in the last 2-3 weeks. Never know.

Also its always nice to watch Baltimore beat up on the Yankees in ARod's return game. what was it 12-2 or something?

Another thing Matt,
I don't sweat LBC. I beat her once already, and I will beat her again. I guarantee it.
As for the Yankee comparison....The Red Sox have waaaaay more talent than the cellar dweller Yankees.
The way I look at it: I'm obviously the Red Sox,
LBC is last years Rockies team. The best of a crappy league.
I agree that you're the Indians, solid line-up, chokes when it matter most.
Your Dad is the Rays, a team playing decent now, but will be forgotten in a month.
Dylan is the Twins. A very likable team, that has no chance of winning it all.

Since I already have a target on my back....why not make it a little bigger.

Man this is a really fun league. Thanks for setting it up.

I like your analysis, Matt. Made me smile to be named the Red Sox of the league. I suspect that Dave will not have quite the same reaction.
