Game 3 buzz

Big game in Cleveland tonight. Dice K is hoping to rebound from his ordinary performance against Anaheim in the ALDS. Cleveland, for some odd reason, is going with Jake Westbrook. I haven’t been this excited about a possible Boston rout since John Lackey pitched at Fenway.

Cleveland is a patient team that jumps on the fastball and can pile on runs. With Dice K on the mound, they are sure to get a healthy dose of off-speed pitches that paint the outside corner. Dice K doesn’t need to go out tonight and throw a no-hitter. He needs to play his game and mix up his pitches. If he pitches decent, the Red Sox will win.

Jake Westbrook, on the other hand, might be the worst game-three starter in the ALCS since the Red Sox started Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd in 1986. Westbrook gave up 9 hits and 6 runs in 5 innings against a mediocre team calling themselves the Yankees. Boston needs to get on this guy early in the game. This will keep the always-loud Cleveland fans quiet. And when the Indians resort to releasing another swarm of Lake Erie midges on the Sox, it will be too late.

I just changed my account, I, MaticusNineO will no longer be going by that name, but instead by my real and actual name, Matt McLaughlin. Maticus is a nice alterego, but as a Sox fan, I do not feel that I need to be shrouded in anyway, and feel that this was a very nessisary step.

Dice-K is going to blow our Sox off tonight. I am usually that guy who is very pessimistic on Red Sox performace as we have all beocme acustomed to, but I have a good vibe about Dice-K. No one is expecting anything significant from him, we know hes been sucking, he is due. Expect nothing, you will always recieve more than you expected.

Dice K has proven himself to be a big game pitcher in Japan. Tonight he proves it in America.
    Thanks for commenting Matt.

I agree Dave, Dice-K is a gamer, he hasn’t shown it yet in the states, but I get the same feeling it’s coming tonight. I can only hope Oil Can is watching somewhere. Dice’K’s needs to do one thing tonight to, hit his pitches. Tonight is not about blowing by these hitters, it’s about hitting the corners and about knowing when to slow it down, and maybe, we’ll see the Gyro ball.

DiceK teases us. He really does. Hes going to break out of this slump hes in and throw a freakin Perfect game with 21 strikeouts.

Gahd another loss. The bats were terrible tonight, Papi, I love you to death bro, but ball hit to the right side of second what did your coach in little league teach you. NO Bueno! Dumb dumb dumb mistakes. At least they didnt bring in Gagme and kill all of the morale. D-Ped’s attempt at a DP was probably my highlight of the night. That was fantastic. Sucks he didnt get him, but still, it was a hell of a play. I doubt theyre still doing webgems with only 2 series going, but that would have been Season WebGem top 10 had he made it.

    To C-mac:
I guess Lofton doesn’t need “a walker and a permanent spot on the bench”, as you put it, after last nights 2 run homer!GO KENNY!!! By the way, how come we haven’t heard from you since the Indians started winning, hmmmm, is someone sitting in the corner pouting? Maybe you guys will have some luck tonight.

  6. Dave Says:

Calamari is a tough cookie. Let’s see if she’s still tough after Wakefield shuts down the Indians tonight with a healthy dose of 70 mph pitches. Go Sox

  8. Dave Says:

You’re an idiot. This series has a long way to go.

  9. Anonymous Says:

Calamari is in hiding until the series is over for fear of the trash talking that may take place if your bats wake up any time in the near future.
